Regular Season Round 43: Nishinomiya S. - Shinshu BW 62-72

An interesting game for Shinshu BW (34-7) which played road game in Hyogo against their biggest opponent Nishinomiya S. (28-15). First ranked Shinshu BW managed to get a 10-point victory 72-62. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) helped adding 19 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Shinshu BW's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) responded with 9 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists and center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Shinshu BW have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 34-7 record. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the second position with 15 games lost. Shinshu BW will play against Ibaraki R. (#3) in Mito in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nishinomiya S. will play on the road against the league's leader Sendai 89ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
