There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Cassino (5-16) won against at home higher ranked Ruvo (12-10) 82-73 on Sunday. They outrebounded Ruvo 45-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Matteo Fioravanti (195-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Franco Gaetano (200-99, agency: Players Group) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Giovanni Laquintana (187-91) produced 21 points and power forward Matteo Bini (201-94) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Ruvo players scored in double figures. Cassino moved-up to fourteenth place in B. Newly promoted Ruvo dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Cassino will face higher ranked Formia Meta (#13) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
