Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Mestre (11-11) outleveled at home 14th ranked Crema (6-16) 95-52 on Sunday. Mestre looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Crema's players. Point guard Mauro Pinton (185-84, agency: Two Points) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88, agency: Players Group) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Mestre players scored in double figures. Simone Vecerina (194-99) produced 16 points and center Daniele Costanzelli (206-97) added 2 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mestre moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Crema keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Mestre will face Soresina Gilbertina (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Crema will play against Vicenza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
