Regular Season Round 16: Jamtland 2 - KFUM Lidingo 55-97

There was no surprise in Ostersund where 6th ranked Jamtland 2 (6-9) was outplayed by third ranked KFUM Lidingo (12-3) 97-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Lidingo. Jamtland 2 was better in third quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Jamtland 2 to just 7 points in fourth quarter. KFUM Lidingo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Jamtland 2's 26. KFUM Lidingo forced 29 Jamtland 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 51-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alexandar Petrovic (197-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals and forward Fredrik Larsson (201-93) who added 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four KFUM Lidingo players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward John Palsson (190-99) responded with 21 points and point guard Johan Petersen (175-99) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Jamtland 2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. KFUM Lidingo have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position in North with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader KFUM Uppsala. Jamtland 2 lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. KFUM Lidingo will face league's second-placed Ockelbo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jamtland 2 will play against KFUM Sundsvall (#9) and hope to win that game.
