Very expected game when 16th ranked Aguimes (4-16) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Tobarra (10-10) 68-67 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tobarra outrebounded Aguimes 34-17 including 22 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Martin Smith (196-93, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and Canadian-Jamaican guard NKosi Kedar (191-94, college: Simon Fraser, agency: Two Points) who added 19 points during the contest. Tobarra's coach Juan Gonzalez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Joan-Ferran Bernacer (195-99) responded with 30 points and guard Jonatan Bosa (186-92) scored 11 points. Tobarra have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Dist.Olimpico. Aguimes lost third consecutive game. Aguimes at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Tobarra will face Dist.Olimpico (#9) in Madrid in the next round. Aguimes will play at home against Real Madrid 2 (#4) and hope to win that game.
