Rather expected game when 5th ranked Koshigaya A. (14-29) lost to third ranked Orange Vikings (23-20) in Matsuyama 76-80 on Sunday. Orange Vikings made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Koshigaya A. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Andrew Naymick (209-85, college: Michigan St.) answered with 9 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Tomoya Ochiai (195-87) added 16 points and 6 assists in the effort for Koshigaya A.Four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Koshigaya A.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Orange Vikings maintains third place with 23-20 record having ten points less than leader Shinshu BW. Koshigaya A. lost their fourth game in a row.
