Regular Season Round 43: Kagawa FA - Fukushima 66-71

The game between second ranked Kagawa FA (26-15) and fifth ranked Fukushima (13-28) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Kagawa FA was defeated by Fukushima in a tough game in Takamatsu 66-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kagawa FA. Fukushima had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. American-Jamaican forward Staphon Blair (206-93, college: UCF) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Kanji Takahira (185-93) added 17 points and 4 steals in the effort for Kagawa FA. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Fukushima maintains fifth place with 13-28 record. Kagawa FA at the other side keeps the second position with 15 games lost. Fukushima are looking forward to face higher ranked Orange Vikings (#3) in Matsuyama in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kagawa FA will play on the road against the league's leader Dragonflies in Hiroshima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
