Second Stage Round 1: Raanana - Petah Tikva 66-91

There was a minor upset when Raanana (8-12) was rolled over at home by Petah Tikva (1-19) 91-66. Petah Tikva dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Raanana's 34. They outrebounded Raanana 44-26 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Petah Tikva players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Trinidad and Tobago-American forward Kellindra Zackery (185-88, college: Newman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Teana Muldrow (188-95, college: WVU) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Raanana. Petah Tikva will play against Bnot Hertzeliya (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raanana will play against M.Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
