There was no surprise in Ramat Hen where Holon (9-11) was defeated by Maccabi Ramat Gan (17-3) 87-80. Maccabi Ramat Gan made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: FSU, agency: Ron Sport) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Betnijah Laney (183-93, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) answered with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import power forward Karisma Penn (188-91, college: Illinois) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Holon. Four Maccabi Ramat Gan and five Holon players scored in double figures. Maccabi Ramat Gan will play against Ramla at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Holon will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
