Bottom-ranked Hasharon managed to get a fifth victory on Tuesday night. This time newly promoted Hasharon won against sixth-ranked Hasharon in Hod Hasharon 99-92. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hasharon. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Hasharon outrebounded Hasharon 43-29 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. American guard Dorian Pinson (196-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) fired 26 points and 9 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Tyrell Nelson (201-95, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Power forward Yariv Amiram (204-94) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and Puerto Rican-American point guard TreVon Hughes (185-87, college: Wisconsin) added 26 points, 7 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Hasharon maintains fourteenth place with 5-14 record. Loser Hasharon keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with H.Galilee. Hasharon will meet at home higher ranked Kiryat Motzkin (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hasharon will play against H.Ramat Gan in Givataim and hope to secure a win.
