Regular Season Round 16: Beroe - Montana 79-72

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Montana 2003 (13-3) in Stara Zagora on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Beroe (12-3) 79-72. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Montana 2003. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beroe have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Celje. Defending Bulgarian champion Montana 2003 still keeps top position with three games lost. Beroe is looking forward to face Banovici (#6) on the road in the next round. Montana 2003 will play against the league's second-placed Celje (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
