Regular Season Round 20: Arenys - Martinenc 66-58

There was an upset in Arenys del Mar where higher ranked Martinenc (12-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Arenys (7-11) 66-58 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Roger Almuni (204-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Oscar Heras (181-99) who added 15 points during the contest. American forward Seth Goodman (198-88, college: VIU) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Angel Garcia (188-88) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Arenys moved-up to seventh place in Group C-A, which they share with Maristes Ademar. Loser Martinenc keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Arenys will face bottom-ranked Calvia (#10) on the road in the next round. Martinenc will play against Quart (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
