A very close game took place in Greater Sudbury between St.John's E. and Sudbury F.. Second ranked St.John's E. (9-6) got a very close victory on the road over their close opponent Sudbury F. (10-7). St.John's E. managed to escape with a 2-point win 122-120 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Sudbury F.. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Tyrone Watson (196-90, college: N.Mexico St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and Indonesian swingman Montay Brandon (203-93, college: FSU) who added 18 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Brandon is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American point guard Braylon Rayson (175-94, college: Cent Michigan) responded with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Jaylen Bland (190-93, college: UC Riverside) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. St.John's E. have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-6 record having 3 victories less than leader Moncton M. which they share with defeated Sudbury F. Loser Sudbury F. keeps the second place with seven games lost.
