There was a minor upset when 4th placed Telge (10-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked A3 Basket (9-5) 82-73. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 21-9 run, which allowed them to win the game. A3 Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American point guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Finnish center Sofia Pelander (192-92) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five A3 Basket players scored in double figures. American-American Samoan power forward Sarah Toeaina (185-96, college: Hawaii) came up with 29 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Dara Taylor (171-91, college: Penn St.) added 10 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals respectively for Telge in the defeat. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 9-5 record. Telge at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Norrkoping. A3 Basket will play against league's leader Hogsbo in Goteborg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Telge will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lulea Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
