Everything could happen in Kopavogur at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Breidablik and 8th ranked Grindavik had identical 2-18 record. This time Breidablik used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Grindavik 89-68. The game without a history. Breidablik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for American guard Danni Williams (178, college: Texas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international forward Isabella Sigurdardottir (184-97) contributed with 4 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. French forward Tania Pierre-Emile (191-95, college: ECU) answered with 28 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jordan Reynolds (180-95, college: Tennessee) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Grindavik. Grindavik's coach Johann Olafsson gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Breidablik maintains seventh place with 3-18 record. Newly promoted Grindavik stay dead last with 19 lost games. Breidablik will play against higher ranked Snaefell (#6) in Stykkisholmur in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Grindavik will play on the road against the league's leader Valur where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
