Very important is a road loss of third ranked Grizzlies (28-27) against fourth ranked Kings (22-33) on Thursday night. Visiting Grizzlies were defeated by Kings in a tough game in Sacramento 125-129. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grizzlies. Kings forced 19 Grizzlies turnovers. Strangely Grizzlies outrebounded Kings 51-27 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Grizzlies were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Harrison Barnes (203-92, college: UNC) who led his team to a victory with 32 points. Guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) contributed with 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard DeAnthony Melton (193-98, college: USC) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Tyus Jones (185-96, college: Duke) added 16 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Grizzlies. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Grizzlies' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kings moved-up to third place, which they share with N.Orleans P. and Phoenix Suns. Grizzlies at the other side keep the third position with 27 games lost. Kings will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Grizzlies will play on the road against the league's leader Lakers in Los Angeles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
