Very significant was Mavericks' (#2, 34-22) victory against their close opponent Magic (24-32) 122-106. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic. Mavericks made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Mavericks brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic (213-90, college: USC) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and French Evan Fournier (198-92) added 28 points in the effort for Magic. Four Mavericks and five Magic players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mavericks maintains second place with 34-22 record having five points less than leader Toronto R., which they share with OKC Thunder. Magic at the other side keeps the second position with 32 games lost. Mavericks' next day opponent will be Hawks (#5) in Atlanta.
