NEBL round 6 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Tigersharks (4-2) against second ranked Defenders (5-1) 101-88 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigersharks. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Strangely Tigersharks outrebounded Defenders 44-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Tigersharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Luther Page (201-93, college: Alabama St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Devin Daly (195-94, college: LSSU) contributed with 21 points and 5 steals for the winners. Point guard Francis Arana (-97) replied with 27 points and 8 assists and American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: LBSU) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Tigersharks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defenders have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Tigersharks dropped to the second place with two games lost.
