Very important is a road loss of second ranked Mavericks (34-23) against fifth ranked Hawks (17-41) on Saturday night. Visiting Mavericks were defeated by Hawks in a tough game in Atlanta 107-111. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mavericks. Hawks looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was U.S. Virgin Islands-American John Collins (208-97, college: Wake Forest) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. Guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Tim Hardaway-Jr (198-92, college: Michigan) produced 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists and point guard Seth Curry (185-90, college: Duke) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hawks maintains fifth position with 17-41 record. Loser Mavericks keep the second place with 23 games lost.
