Regular Season Round 21: Quintanar - Estudio 82-98

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Quintanar (14-7) against eleventh ranked Estudio (9-11) on Saturday night. Host Quintanar was defeated by Estudio in Quintanar 98-82. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Point guard Juan Llorente (192-93) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and point guard Eduardo Vicente (185-86) chipped in 21 points. Five Estudio players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Carlos Gil (185-93) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American-Polish swingman Fineto Lungwana (190-94, college: Erskine) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estudio maintains eleventh place in Group B with 9-11 record. Loser Quintanar dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Estudio will meet at home CB Guadalajara (#12) in the next round. Quintanar will play against Azuqueca (#7) and hope to secure a win.
