Regular Season Round 21: Easo - Mondragon 63-77

Not a big story in a game in San Sebastian where 4th placed Easo (12-8) was defeated by second ranked Mondragon (14-5) 77-63 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Mondragon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Dani Lorenzo (181-93) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Power forward Martin Buesa (204-88) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) who recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Iker Arrieta (180-92) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mondragon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group A-A with 14-5 record having four points less than leader Alcobendas. Loser Easo dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Mondragon will face Tabirako (#13) in Durango in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Easo will play on the road against Filipenses (#15) in Palencia and hope to win that game.
