Regular Season Round 17: Toyota B SR - Fujitsu RW 67-62

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aichi. Third ranked Toyota B SR faced second-ranked Fujitsu RW. Host Toyota B SR (12-3) defeated guests from Kawasaki (12-3) 67-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Fujitsu RW. They outrebounded Fujitsu RW 45-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Nanako Todo (175-0) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Miki Sasaka (178-98) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. International point guard Rui Machida (162-93) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists and point guard Taniguchi Nichika (172-96) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toyota B SR moved-up to second place, which they share with Fujitsu RW and Toyota A. Toyota B SR is again looking forward to face Fujitsu RW (#3) in Kawasaki in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fujitsu RW will have a break next round.
