Regular Season Round 21: La Antigua - PBB 96-80

There was an upset in Salamanca where 4th placed PBB (12-6) was defeated by eighth ranked La Antigua (9-9) 96-80 on Saturday. La Antigua made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. PBB was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American Nick Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) who scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. Bosnian Sandro Gacic (201-96) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Jorge Cabaleiro (192-96) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. La Antigua moved-up to seventh place in Group A-B. Loser PBB keeps the fourth position with six games lost. La Antigua will face Univ.Valladolid (#11) on the road in the next round. PBB will play against Leon (#14) and hope to win that game.
