We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Stockholm where 4th placed Akropol (10-8) was defeated by fifth ranked RIG Lulea (9-9) 88-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 30-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Denzel George (189-1) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Matteus Skagius (189-1) chipped in 14 points. RIG Lulea's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Serbian forward Dragan Damjanovic (203-88) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds and Rey Panghulan added 8 points and 9 assists respectively for the hosts. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for RIG Lulea. They maintain fifth place in North with 9-9 record. Akropol lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
