Regular Season Round 39: Iwate Big Bulls - Tokyo CR 99-80

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Tokyo CR (15-25) was outscored on the road by fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (28-11) 99-80 on Saturday. Iwate Big Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American Justin Herold (202-91, college: Sonoma St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Iwate Big Bulls' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tokyo CR. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Aisin AW and Toyoda Gosei. Tokyo CR at the other side keeps the ninth position with 25 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls is again looking forward to face Tokyo CR (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo CR will have a break next round.
