Regular Season Round 19: Olympiacos B - Napfliou 73-67

Very expected game in Pireus where 11th ranked Napfliou (7-12) was defeated by second ranked Olympiacos B (15-4) 73-67. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was an exceptional evening for center Vassilis Christidis (207-98, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Petros Melissaratos (205-93) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side. Five Olympiacos B players scored in double figures. Serbian center Stefan Djordjevic (206-89) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Fanis Koumpouras (185-83) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for Napfliou in the defeat. Napfliou's coach Harris Koulouriotis let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Olympiacos B have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Olympiacos B maintains second place with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Charilaos TM. Napfliou at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Olympiacos B's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Amyntas D. (#16) in Athens which should be an easy win for them. Napfliou will play at home against Diagoras D. (#3) and hope to win that game.
