Regular Season Round 116: Charlotte H. - Brooklyn N. 86-115
Date: February 22, 2020
There was a small surprise in Charlotte where fourth ranked Nets (26-29) smashed their close opponent Hornets (19-37) 115-86 on Saturday. They outrebounded Hornets 54-43 including a 45-34 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Garrett Temple (198-86, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jarrett Allen (211-98, college: Texas) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Power forward PJ Washington (206-98, college: Kentucky) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Cody Zeller (213-92, college: Indiana) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Nets and four Hornets players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nets maintains fourth position with 26-29 record which they share with defeated Hornets. Loser Hornets keep the fourth place with 37 games lost.
