Regular Season Round 18: Arka Gdynia - Politechn.Gd. 101-48

EBLK top team - Arka Gdynia (18-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Politechnika Gdanska (7-11) 101-48. They outrebounded Politechnika Gdanska 40-23 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Arka Gdynia shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Politechnika Gdanska's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Australian guard Rebecca Allen (188-92, agency: LBM Management) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-91, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Four Arka Gdynia players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by French Alice Nayo (186-93) did not help to save the game for Politechnika Gdanska. American guard Presley Hudson (168-97, college: Cent Michigan, agency: Two Points) added 11 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arka Gdynia have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Politechnika Gdanska at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Arka Gdynia will play against Wisla Krakow (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Politechnika Gdanska will play against AZS UMCS and hopes to get back on the winning track.
