Leader JX-Eneos S. delivered the fourteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Mitsubishi K. (7-8) 85-72 in Kashiwa. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Mitsubishi K.. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Tokashiki Kurume (193-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Asami Yoshida (166-87) chipped in 9 points and 9 assists. JX-Eneos S.'s coach Hideaki Umebuchi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (169-92) responded with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and international forward Nemoto Haruno (173-95) scored 20 points. JX-Eneos S. (14-1) have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Mitsubishi K. at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. JX-Eneos S. will again meet Mitsubishi K. (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round.
