We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th ranked Estudiantes B (8-13) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked CB Guadalajara (8-13) 78-66 on Sunday. CB Guadalajara looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Estudiantes B's players. The best player for the winners was forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Center Sergio Martinez (208-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Pablo Suarez (188-99) who recorded 23 points and Mikhail Mikhailov added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Estudiantes B players scored in double figures. Estudiantes B's coach Sergio Jimenez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Guadalajara moved-up to twelfth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Estudiantes B. CB Guadalajara will face higher ranked Estudio (#11) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Estudiantes B will play at home against Lanzarote and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
