Everything went according to plan in Vantaa where fifth ranked PuHu Juniorit (12-7) outleveled 7th ranked HyPo (7-12) 88-61 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-61. PuHu Juniorit forced 20 HyPo turnovers. American point guard Trey Hall (190-95, college: Cameron) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Samatar Abokar (190-1) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Martez Harris (191-92, college: Ave Maria) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Toni Honka (193-84) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PuHu Juniorit maintains fifth place in Division with 12-7 record. Loser HyPo keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. PuHu Juniorit will face Namika Lr (#9) in Lappeenranta in the next round. HyPo will play at home against the league's second-placed PeU-Basket and hope to win that game.
