There was an upset when higher ranked Nardo (12-10) was edged at home by tenth ranked Corato (11-11) 75-72 on Sunday. Strangely Nardo outrebounded Corato 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Point guard Mauro Stella (190-84, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 4 assists. Power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Vittorio Visentin (205-95, agency: Agency) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Nardo. Four Nardo players scored in double figures. Corato moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Mestre. Loser Nardo dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Corato will face Cassino (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
