Very important is a road loss of third ranked Albany P. (4-2) against fourth ranked Jackals (5-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Albany P. was crushed by Jackals in Jamestown 126-101. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Jackals brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Albany P. was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Matt Hart (188-94, college: GWU) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 4 assists. Forward Bernard Edwards (198-90, college: Defiance) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Hart is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Jackals players scored in double figures. Forward Brent Schuck (207-90, college: Emporia St.) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Shadell Millinghaus (188-94, college: Georgetown, KY) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Albany P.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jackals have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Indy Express. Defending champion Albany P. dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Jackals will play against LewisvilleYJ (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albany P. will have a break next round.
