Very expected game in Lappeenranta where 9th ranked Namika Lr (6-13) was rolled over by fourth ranked Huima (12-6) 109-67 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 109-67. Huima outrebounded Namika Lr 44-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Guard Kalle Koivunen (187-2) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Trenton Clayton (206-96, college: Pittsburg St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Huima players scored in double figures. Forward Karl Engelvuori (191-95) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Aubrey Conerly (182-83, college: Jacksonville) added 12 points, 9 assists and 6 steals respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Huima maintains fourth place in Division with 12-6 record. Newly promoted Namika Lr keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Huima will face Westside ET (#11) in Espoo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Namika Lr will play on the road against PuHu Juniorit in Vantaa and hope to win that game.
