Regular Season Round 40: Iwate Big Bulls - Tokyo CR 92-90

Ninth-ranked Tokyo CR (15-26) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (29-11). Iwate Big Bulls managed to secure only two-point victory 92-90. However their fans expected much easier game. Iwate Big Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American Justin Herold (202-91, college: Sonoma St.) contributed with 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Iwate Big Bulls' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 21 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo CR. Four Iwate Big Bulls and five Tokyo CR players scored in double figures. They have a solid four-game winning streak. Iwate Big Bulls moved-up to second place, which they share with Aisin AW and Toyoda Gosei. Tokyo CR at the other side keeps the ninth position with 26 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Kanazawa (#12) in Ishikawa and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo CR will play at home against Shizuoka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
