Regular Season Round 117: LA Lakers - Boston C. 114-112

Second-ranked Celtics (39-17) made lots of trouble for first ranked Lakers (43-12) in Los Angeles on Sunday. Lakers managed to secure only two-point victory 114-112. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Celtics. 29 personal fouls committed by Celtics helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. LeBron James (203-84) chipped in 29 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jayson Tatum (203-98, college: Duke) who recorded 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and forward Jaylen Brown (201-96, college: California) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Lakers and five Celtics players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lakers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 43-12 record. Celtics at the other side keep the second position with 17 games lost.
