Regular Season Round 40: Shizuoka - Saga B. 73-95

B3 League top team - Saga B. (30-10) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Shizuoka (13-25) 95-73. Saga B. made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Shizuoka turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side Beninese forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and forward Abu Philip (198-97) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Newly promoted Saga B. maintains first position with 30-10 record. Shizuoka lost sixth consecutive game. Shizuoka at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with 25 games lost. Saga B. are looking forward to face Okayama (#5) at home in the next round. Shizuoka will play against Tokyo CR (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
