LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (11-10) in Salamanca 80-50. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Maquinaria Ensino. The best player for the winners was British swingman Karlie Samuelson (183-95, college: Stanford, agency: Wasserman) who scored 22 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American swingman Tiffany Hayes (177-89, college: UConn) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Beatriz Sanchez (190-89) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Maquinaria Ensino's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Perfumerias Avenida maintains first place with 18-3 record. Loser Maquinaria Ensino keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Cadi La Seu. Perfumerias Avenida will meet Araski (#5) in the next round. Maquinaria Ensino will play against Gernika and hope to secure a win.
