The game in Borganes was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked FSU (7-11) played at the court of 7th ranked Skallagrimur (3-16). FSU managed to secure a 7-point victory 85-78. It looked good early as Skallagrimur took a 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then FSU had a 29-13 second period charge getting the lead and Skallagrimur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-85. FSU made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Skallagrimur turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: Jacksonville St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Croatian guard Kristijan Vladovic (185-99) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. FSU's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Kenneth Simms (206-86, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Marino Palmason (190-2) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts.
