Second Stage Round 3: Petah Tikva - M.Haifa 75-70

There was a small surprise when Petah Tikva (3-19) defeated at home M.Haifa (8-14) 75-70 on Monday. Petah Tikva made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 M.Haifa turnovers. The best player for the winners was Trinidad and Tobago-American forward Kellindra Zackery (185-88, college: Newman) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kristi Bellock (186-90, college: Texas A&M) who recorded 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) added 19 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Petah Tikva will meet at home Bnot Hertzeliya (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Haifa will play against Raanana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
