The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: Al Sadd (#8) and Al Ahli (#6). Al Ahli was defeated at home 79-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. International forward Babacar Dieng (195-97) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Aaron Rountree-III (203-93, college: Iona) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Jeff Newberry (188-92, college: Oklahoma St.) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Al Ahli. Four Al Sadd and five Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Sadd maintains eighth position with 3-13 record. Al Ahli lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Gharafa.
