Third-ranked Bulls (20-39) made lots of trouble for second ranked Thunder (36-22) in Chicago. The visitors from Oklahoma City managed to secure only two-point victory 124-122. However their fans expected easier game. Thunder shot 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Bulls only scored six points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Thunder brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Chris Paul (183-85, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 19 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five Thunder players scored in double figures. Guard Zach LaVine (196-95, college: UCLA) answered with 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Coby White (196-0, college: UNC) added 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bulls. Thunder have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 36-22 record having five points less than leader Toronto R., which they share with Philadelphia 76. Bulls at the other side keep the third position with 39 games lost.
