Regular Season Round 24: Nanterre - Chalons-Reims 94-90
Date: February 25, 2020
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Nanterre (15-7) beat at home 10th ranked Chalons-Reims (9-13) 94-90 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Nanterre outrebounded Chalons-Reims 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Anthony Da-Silva (186-1) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Center Samuel Eyango-Dingo (207-1) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian swingman Nikola Knezevic (200-99) who recorded 23 points and guard Louis-Marin Alix (186-99) added 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively. Four Nanterre and five Chalons-Reims players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Nanterre have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 15-7 record. Loser Chalons-Reims dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Nanterre will face higher ranked Bourg (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chalons-Reims will play against Boulazac (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
