Regular Season Round 34: Ura Basket - Vilpas 71-130

The game between 10th ranked Ura Basket (10-22) and second ranked Vilpas (26-6) in Kaarina on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Salo outscored Ura Basket 130-71. Power forward Miikka Luosmaa (204-94, college: Regis Univ.) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Darious Moten (199-92, college: Mercer) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Ura Basket. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vilpas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-6 record behind leader Seagulls. Ura Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 22 games lost. Vilpas will face league's leader Seagulls in Helsinki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ura Basket will play at home against Kouvot (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
