Regular Season Round 20: ToPo Juniorit - HNMKY 111-68

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Helsinki: ToPo Juniorit (#5) and HNMKY (#4). ToPo Juniorit (11-9) smashed visiting HNMKY (10-10) by 43 points 111-68. The game without a history. ToPo Juniorit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by HNMKY's players. Center Federiko Federiko (205-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Juuso Kauppinen (188-94) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four ToPo Juniorit players scored in double figures. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Max Besselink (197-2) added 17 points in the effort for HNMKY. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ToPo Juniorit moved-up to fourth place in Division. HNMKY at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. ToPo Juniorit are looking forward to face FoKoPo (#12) in Forssa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HNMKY will play on the road against Korikouvot (#6) in Kouvola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
