The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Maccabi Ramat Gan (17-4) on the court of Ashdod on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Ashdod 70-65. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St., agency: Ron Sport) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Crystal Bradford (183-93, college: Cent Michigan) helped adding 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Ashdod players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU) scored 20 points. Ashdod are looking forward to face Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maccabi Ramat Gan will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and is hoping to win this game.
