Rather predictable result in Orlando where second ranked Magic (27-32) beat 5th ranked Timberwolves (17-41) 136-125 on Friday. Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 58 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Timberwolves 54-33 including a 44-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Magic made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic (213-90, college: USC) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Terrence Ross (201-91, college: Washington) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. DAngelo Russell (196-96, college: Ohio St.) produced 28 points and 7 assists and Spanish Juancho Hernangomez (206-95) added 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Four Magic and five Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Timberwolves' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Magic have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 27-32 record having fourteen points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Timberwolves keep the fifth place with 41 games lost. Magic will face Spurs (#5) in San Antonio in the next day.
