Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked SIG (8-8) lost on the road to third ranked Angers (12-4) 74-60. Angers outrebounded SIG 36-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tiffany Clarke (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Isis Arrondo (166-89, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Angers players scored in double figures. Angers' coach David Gautier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Louise Dambach (175-96) responded with 18 points and 5 steals and power forward Amelie Voynet (181-94) scored 16 points. Angers have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-4 record behind leader Aulnoye. Newly promoted SIG keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with La Tronche and Montbrison. Angers will play against Montbrison (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. SIG will play against the league's leader Aulnoye and hopes to get back on the winning track.
