Regular Season Round 21: BM Slam Stal - Asseco Arka 63-62

Important game to mention about took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. Twelfth ranked BM Slam Stal (9-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Asseco Arka (13-8) 63-62 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Strangely Asseco Arka outrebounded BM Slam Stal 46-31 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists for the winning side and Lithuanian guard Paulius Dambrauskas (195-91, agency: Players Group) accounted for 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Leyton Hammonds (203-94, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Asseco Arka in the defeat. BM Slam Stal moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with HydroTruck. Asseco Arka at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. BM Slam Stal will play against bottom-ranked Polpharma (#16) in Starogard Gdanski in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Asseco Arka will play at home against Twarde Pierniki (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
