Regular Season Round 25: Chalons-Reims - Limoges 80-77

A very close game took place in Reims between Chalons-Reims and Limoges CSP Elite. Fourteenth ranked Chalons-Reims (9-15) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (11-13). Chalons-Reims managed to escape with a 3-point win 80-77 on Friday evening. Forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) nailed 23 points for the winning side and American-Czech swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Chalons-Reims' coach Cedric Heitz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Jerry Boutsiele (207-94) came up with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Serbian point guard DeMarcus Nelson (193-85, college: Duke) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for Limoges CSP Elite in the defeat. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Chalons-Reims moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Orleans. Loser Limoges CSP Elite keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Le Mans. Chalons-Reims will meet Boulazac Basket (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
